The Northwest Passage, arranged by and featuring Rebekah Feaster and Melinda Zeek
The Northwest Passage is a contemporary folk song that was written by Stan Rogers in the 1980’s. I has since become the unofficial anthem of Canada and discusses the attempts to discover the fabled Northwest Passage by several explorers through the past few centuries.
Rebekah Feaster, one of the team members of the Arctic Cowboys, is heard in this recording with her sister, Melinda Zeek, singing a rendition of the song. As would be expected from two gals who grew up singing hymns in a baptist church, the arrangement only includes verses 1 and 4 but hopefully captures the true spirit of the piece.
